TV CHANNELS : CASE STUDIES OF REVIVAL

SONY Entertainment Television moved down from the top perch in 2001 -2002 to almost the bottom of the heap by the time it was 2009 and it saw the exit of the CEO Kunal Dasgupta and also the Business Head Mr Albert Almeida. It was under Mr Albert Almeida's tenure as Business Head recently that the slide was pronounced with most new programs ending up as duds and these include "Big Boss" which did very well when it was handled by Colors in its next edition.In fact it was admitted by the channel that all the programs it created were losing propositions and it was outside programs that were bring in revenues like the IPL and film programs.
