Colors was launched when Sameer Nair was launching NDTV Imagine and Peter Mukerjea was set to kick start his channel 9X. However it was Colors that stole the show. It is now a leader in the GEC space and the key differentiator seems to be Rajesh Kamath and the ability of his team to understand viewer requirements and manage content.
