Manthan the movie and IRMA
Manthan was a movie on the cooperative movement in Gujarat which revolutionized the dairy industry. It was based on Dr Varghese Kurien's life and it was brilliantly made by Shyam Benegal.
This is a song from that movie which was popular on the IRMA campus where I did my post graduation in management studies. This movie was influential in my choosing to do my post-graduation at IRMA. I gave up a highly coveted MBA seat at the Cochin University to join up and have never regretted it since.
Post IRMA I joined the NDDB and was deputed to the World Bank team to appraise the Operation Flood ii projects.
