hi.
I read your very well analysed and written article.
I agree with your views. Hope the Brand India benefits reach to all Indians ( poor, farmers and uneducated and change their life in meaningful ways)
I recently visited china and was having breakfast in the morning. One unknown person walked to me and said ( through his assistant) "I love India. Its culture is great and people are real hard working and intelligent. It will rule world some day"
I was moved by his words.
( Later he told me he is chief of Aircarft Design Institute of China).
So BRAND INDIA is realy shining...

A good piece Mr Natesan.

I wish there is are no two Indias - the one you are talking about which covers about 10 crore people and the other India which is still in dark ages, untouched by any optimism for tomorrow simply because its citizens are still struggling to make a living every day of their lives.

Unless brand India stands for the same values to all its constituents, its a mirage we are chasing..

These are my personal views. Your piece however is good if you are referring to the 10% of India which is shining undoubtedly..

Dear Vinod,

I am from the 17th batch and have been reading your posts on the alumni network for many years now; this is the first time I am typing a reply to any discussion on the IRMA Alumni Groups!
I have just read that aricle of yours on Brand India and must admit it was amazing piece of writing!
Am going to use this article to talk to few of my India bashing friends and of course make my team read it; its truely an inspirational piece!

Hi Vinod:Good to hear from you.Read your article.I get the point you're making, and making well. However, (as usual!), I have a somewhat different point of view.I do not believe that an outcry over a juvenile TV show, in which Madam Shetty went with eyes (and wallet) open, defines us as a mature or confident nation, or a people who will not take insults lying down. I believe that a truly mature and confident people are way above such insignificant and puerile happenstances. In fact, our shrill remonstrances actually indicate an easily bruised ego and a penchant for the trivial.Neither of these qualify us for proclaiming ourselves as an arrived race.Anyway, all the best for your future writings!CheersSunil(SUNIL GUPTA)Regional Director, South West Asia,APRAIS Worldwide
