Hindi Film Music:Eyes, eyes, baby:) In praise of the "window to the soul"
A magazine survey among men revealed that "eyes" were the most attractive feature in a woman.Given that in surveys and in public fora, men tend to be politically correct:) we believe them, though we believe in private, their eyes would be locked elsewhere:)
Poets and sensitive souls however find "eyes" to be very attractive and inspiring.. here are a few examples
Safar: Jeevan se bhari teri aankhen...lyrics by Indeevar and music by Kalyanji Anandji, sung by Kishore Kumar.
Umrao jaan: In ankhon ki masti
Guide: Tere ye do nayane chand aur sooraj mera..
CID: Aankhon se aankhon mein ishara ho gaya, baithe baithe jeena ka sahara mil gaya
Mera Saya: Nayanon mein badra chaye...
Anpadh:Aap ki nazaron ne samjha pyar ke kabil mujhe..
Woh Kaun Thi: Naina Barse..rhim jhim...
Anwar:Tose Naina Lage
OM Shanti OM: Aankhon mein teri ...
And from Hollywood the romantic "Look into my eyes" from Robin Hood by Bryan Adams.

Titanic version, again by Bryan Adams

Managing Talent in Indian Advertising: CNBC on the Deloitte Survey 2010
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
I think Charles Cadell, the CEO of Lowe Lintas India, makes some pertinent and insightful comments on the need for clear cut job descriptions at all levels.
This should pave the way for well defined Key Result Areas leading to focused efforts and therefore better performance. It also aids in better tailored training programs which should equip the resource for the next level. This would mean designations which reflect the ability endowed in the incumbent and the responsibility shouldered. Consequently a heirarchy would emerge, which matches those in other organizations and hopefully brings in migration of genuine talent apart from retaining it within the industry .
Lowe seems to have done a comprehensive audit of its human resources under Charles and the recent organizational restructuring changes reported in the media must be an off shoot of this.
It is also heartening to note that Charles and the Lowe management realize the importance of allowing employees to develop interests such as painting, music , photography , filmmaking, travel etc which should help them retain their freshness and nurture their professional talent and outlook.
